Ten years have passed since that historic day when Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger managed to save the lives of 155 passengers and crew by landing their plane in the Hudson River. But even today, when I listen to the audio recorded from the cockpit, the sounds of those tense minutes touch me deeply. What started as a heroic moment has turned into an indescribable memory, and every sound, every command given, brings back the emotions of that day. Despite the passage of time, when I hear Sully’s voice, I still feel the fear and what he carried on his shoulders, and again realize how fragile life can be.
